Jacob (Jake) Stobbe
We as a family are rejoicing with our Dad and Grandpa Jake Stobbe, as his greatest wish was realized when the Lord Jesus took him to his Heavenly home on February 10, 2017 in his 96th year. He lived a life of godliness and integrity. He was an example of a strong faith and trust in God. He was born in Hierschau, Molotschna Colony, South Russia on July 19, 1921. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Mary in 2011. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Bob (Lynda), Jim (Carol), Ed (Rita), Irene (Vic) Abrahams, Shirley (Lorne) Redekop and Al; 12 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; two brothers, Frank and John also by a sister Martha Schroeder. Jake also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. We would like to express our thanks to all the staff at Menno Home and Dr. John Chan for such loving care that he received during his stay there. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 7:30 – 9:00 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Bakerview MB Church, 2285 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, donations to Columbia Bible College, 2940 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC V2T 2Z8 would be gratefully appreciated.
