SIEBERT, Jake was born on December 20, 1938 to Peter and Susanna Siebert in Coaldale Alberta. He was the 10th child in a family of 12. He accepted the Lord as his Savior as a teenager at a crusade held in the community and was baptized upon confession of faith on August, 24, 1958. He attended school in Coaldale and High School at the Alberta Mennonite High School, graduating in 1959. He attended Bible School in Winkler, Manitoba. He loved music; sang in choirs and music groups and conducted a church choir for some time. He married Elsie Poettcker on July 25, 1964. In 1981 Jake with his wife moved to Regency Towers, where he lived till the Lord took him home August 2, 2005. He was predeceased by his mother and father, sister Tina and brothers Peter and Dave. He is survived by his beloved wife Elsie, son Les, daughter Wendy Larsen (Mike), son Mel (Carmen). Brother’s and sister’s Mary, Sue, Anne, Nettie, John, Helen, Henry and Lydia and many brother and sister-in-law’s, nephews and nieces and was loved by all. Graveside Service was held on Fri. Aug. 5, 2005 at 11:00 am from Maclure Rd. Cemetery, followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm from Central Heights MB Church.
