May 12, 1923 - June 29, 2021
Jacob John Janzen went home to be with the Lord on June 29, 2021.
He was born in Zagradavka, Ukraine on May 12, 1923 to his parents Johann John and Justina (Friesen) Janzen. He was the second of 7 siblings... his older sister Anna, younger siblings Clara, Mary, Erna, George and Katie.
His parents moved to Canada in 1924 when he was 6 months old and they settled in Glenbush, Saskatchewan. Here he met and married his wife, Tina Willma Reinke. In 1947 they moved to Arnold, BC and in that same year they moved again, this time buying land on Ross Road in Abbotsford where they built up a hobby farm and raised their family of four children.
Jacob was a carpenter and built many homes, cupboards, furniture, barns etc. He was known for his quality work... always built to last. He accepted the Lord in a revival meeting when he was 17 and stayed committed and faithful to the Lord throughout his life.
He and Tina were members of West Abbotsford Church for over 70 years and were faithful in serving and giving financially. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Tina (2016), a grandson, Shaun (2019), daughter-in-law Doris (2020), as well as 3 of his siblings. He leaves behind his children Julie (Vic) Klassen, Bill (Janet), Grace (Dan) Hutchinson and James, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren as well as three sisters, many nieces and nephews.

As a family we want to express a sincere 'thank you' to Tabor Court staff for their kind, loving care of Dad the last 1 ½ years of his life that he made Tabor Court his home.
A family grave-side service was held on July 6, 2021.
