Jacob, “Jake”, passed away Monday, October 23, 2006 in his 85th year. Jake is survived by his wife Bernardina (Dini), sons Bernard (Johanne) and Norman (Patricia); his grandchildren Oliver (Danielle), Eric, Janelle, Mark, Michelle and Jeffery. Jake was known for his good humour and commitment to the communÂity when he and Dini operated their grocery store, Bernard’s in Abbotsford for almost 30 years. The last few years were challenging, but Jake always accepted his life with a smile.
Jake's family expresses its sincerÂest thanks and appreciation to the staff of Clearbrook Dialysis clinic and to all those who have shared a good laugh with him over the years. He was a great husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Kidney foundation.
