Jack passed away peacefully in Victoria, surrounded by Nicole, his wife of 57 years, his son Paul, and daughter Jennie.
From 1975 to 2008, Jack was a Professor at the University College of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, and was one of the key figures involved in moving the institution to full degree granting status.
Jack will be remembered for his compassion and humility, his wonderful sense of humour, and being a life-long learner and teacher.
A celebration of Jack's life will be held on October 19th at 2 pm at 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC.
