Schmidt, Isaac "Ike". On October 13th, 2011 Isaac Schmidt, with family by his side, entered into the presence of his Lord. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Agnes; children Helen (Peter), Diana (Don), Lawrence (Elizabeth), Cheryl (Al), Sylvia and David; his beloved 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, David and Nick, as well as many other extended family members and cherished friends. Ike will be remembered for his strong faith in Jesus, love of family and his passion for reading. He was a lifelong supporter of the churches he attended and was faithful in his support of missions and relief work.
During the Second World War, Ike served his country overseas in the Medical Corp. Much loved and missed, but now in His Perfect Peace. A graveside service was held on Monday October 17th at the
Valley View Cemetery. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 am on
Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church,
2719 Clearbrook Road, in Abbotsford, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ike's memory may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or World Vision. 604-857-5779
