It is with deep sadness that the family of Irma Oliver announces her passing. Irma was born in Chilliwack, BC. and lived in Abbotsford for 69 years and passed away peacefully on July 15, 2019 in Abbotsford, with her husband David by her side. She is predeceased by her father Helmut Thiessen, mother Agatha Thiessen (Jones), stepfather Tom Jones, bother Edwin Thiessen, grandson Kaelen Paul-Peters, brother-in-law Robert Wathen and ex-husband Bruce Paul. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years David Oliver, daughter Tansy Paul (Glen), son Devron (Rebekah) Paul, sister Melita Wathen, brother Ron Thiessen, three sisters-in-law Lynne (Fred), Cecily (Terry), and Deb (Ed) and three grandchildren Kassandra (Josh), Nyomi, and Gabriel and as well as many other family members. The family would like to thank, Dr. David Froese, Dr. John Farley, Dr. David Wood, Dr. Charles Scudamore, Dr. Paul Klimo, Dr. Alanna Rinas (Integrated Health Clinic) and the doctors at Abbotsford Hospital that looked after her in her last few days and a special thanks to all the nurses in the Palliative Care Unit of Abbotsford Regional Hospital for the care that they gave Irma.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 1 pm, Ridgedale Rod & Gun Club at 35655 Harris Rd., Abbotsford, BC.
