Irene (Peggy) Violet Wunderlick was born December 11, 1926 in Croydon, England. She met and married Reynold (predeceased in 1987) in 1946 and came to Canada as a war bride. It was a long and sometimes frightening journey to Maillardville, BC, but it was worth it because she was welcomed with open arms into the Wunderlick family. Peggy will be lovingly remembered by Lorry (Tom), Bob (Sheila), Pat (Jan), Bernie (Marianne), Jo-Anne (Gerry), Steve, Marion (Mike), Ron (Barb), James, Sandy (Brad) and Albert (Ang); also her 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Finch and Dr. Patel and the 2nd floor nurses, especially Jen and Mary and ward clerk Wendy.
Peggy passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 20, 2008.
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 24, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 32550 – 7th Avenue, Mission with interment services to follow at Hatzic Cemetery.
