Irene "Rene" Maud McKay (nee Stewart), late of Abbotsford, B.C. passed away peacefully on March 29, 2004 at the age of 76 at MSA Hospital. She was born on April 11, 1927 in Vancouver, B.C.
She will be sadly missed by her son Jim, granddaughers Katie and Julie, daughter-in-law Kathryn, and Rene's partner, Walter Scharf.
She was predeceased by her husband James Beattie McKay in 1980.
Rene has been an entrepreneur for the past 35 years in the Abbotsford area. She was an authority and renowned expert on judging all breeds of dogs. She was especially involved in the breeding of German Sheperds and served on, and was a founding member of several dog clubs.
Reception to be held at the family home on Friday, April 2, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Children's Hospital.
