Irene passed away peacefully at Abbotsford Regional Hospital, on September 8th 2018, with family at her side.
She had celebrated her 90th Birthday in June. She is survived by many family members and friends widely dispersed across Canada and western USA. Irene was the youngest of 6 children, now all deceased. Her parents were originally from Budapest, Hungary immigrating to St. Brieux, Saskatchewan, raising Irene and siblings on "the family farm".
Irene was vibrant with a big personality, living life on her terms, ready for a joke, a laugh or mischief at any time. Farewell , Auntie Rene.
Her Memorial Service followed by a tea, will be held on October 4th, 2018 at 1:30 pm, at the Matsqui Evangelical Church, 5781 Riverside St., Abbotsford.
The family would like to thank the staff at Abbotsford Regional Hospital, the Community Home Support workers and Dr. Vlckova for Irene's support and care, throughout her failing health.
