Henry J. Wiebe passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at the age of 88. He was born February 26, 1918 in Waldheim, Siberia. He is survived by his wife Agnes, daughters Mary Lou (Ron Barkman) and Luella (Dave Neufeld); sons Rudy (Hilda), David (Lesley) and Loren (Heather); and 13 grandchildren.
Henry was involved in the community in many ways: coaching boys’ and men’s fastball, serving as a Clearbrook Waterworks' board trustee, a Matsqui municipal councilor, contributing as an MEI board member and holding many different positions at his church.Â
A memorial service will be held at Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church (2719 Clearbrook Road) on Monday, December 11 at 11:30 a.m. Viewing will take place Monday at the church between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. Donations can be made in Henry’s memory to Mennonite Brethren Missions/Services International.Â
