BORROWS, Henry Horace

Jan. 25, 1927 - March 2, 2009

With great love and in celebration of many years of service to others and to his community, we announce the passing of Henry Horace Borrows, on March 2, 2009. Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, on January 25, 1927, Dad is now home with his Heavenly Father, and his beloved parents.

Hank was predeceased by his mother Dulcie, his father William, and his sister Lorraine. Celebrating his life are his wife, Joanne, who was lovingly and unfailingly at his side this past year as his health deteriorated; his brother Alfred and wife Lee of Medicine Hat, Alberta; sister Darlene and husband Hans Mueller of Parksville; son Tim Lynch and wife Suzanne of Abbotsford; son Martin of Los Angeles; daughter Gloria of Mission; son Mitchell and wife Bonnie of Abbotsford; and son Scott and wife Tonja of Abbotsford. Dad had six grandchildren, and he was very proud of each one: Alexandra Fung, Sarah (Borrows) Mejia, Amy Borrows, Jordan Borrows, Hayley Borrows, and Megan Borrows.

Hank served his community through his twenty-three years of work as a Purchasing Manager for the District of Matsqui, and as a founding board member of Kinghaven Treatment Centre and Peardonville House. Hank B. had the great honour of selflessly giving back to the Program that had given him so much.

A memorial service to honour Hank's life is planned for Monday, March 9, at 1:30 p.m. at Abbotsford Christian Assembly, 3970 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, BC.

The family respectfully declines flowers; donations may be made to Kinghaven Treatment Centre or the Union Gospel Mission.
