HEPPNER, Henry L. Henry L Heppner passed away August 26, 2013 at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital at the age of 94. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 68 years, Esther in 2008, their son Roy in 1980 and by his 5 siblings. He is survived by his daughters; Janice (Frank) Kranabetter, Marion Kehler, Helene Heppner, 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Henry was born in Laird, Saskatchewan on April 13, 1919 to Anton and Helena. He married Esther Sawatzky in 1940 and moved to BC in 1942. He loved farming but found working in the logging industry was his passion. He is a past member of the Abbotsford Masonic Lodge #70. In his retirement he returned to farming and took great pleasure being "Grandpa".
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug 29th, 4-6pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd; with the funeral following on Friday, Aug 30th at Woodlawn Funeral Home at 1:00 pm, followed by burial at Maclure Road Mennonite Cemetery. Online condolences to the family may be made at:
