September 1947 - December 2020. It is with mixed emotions that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father and Pake. Henk peacefully passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior with his wife of 44 years at his side. For the past 7.5 years, Henk lived bravely with Parkinson's Disease with Dementia.
He is survived by his wife, Ann and children: Kristine & Mike (Mariska & Kolton); Rachel & Stephen (Ethan, Sydney, Myles & Chance); David & Misty (Kingston, Roman & Evangeline); Caroline & Pete (Lily & Maggie) as well as three brothers, three sisters, one brother-in-law all in The Netherlands, a sister-in-law in Chilliwack and a large extended family with many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
We wish to thank the staff of West 2 at Menno Hospital for the care Henk received for the past three years that he lived there. A small private graveside service was held on December 21. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date in 2021.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Henk to the Parkinson's Society of BC or World Renew.
