Helen was born in Woodstock, New Brunswick on November 17, 1902. She passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on January 18, 2005.

Helen was predeceased by both her parents, Frank and Alice Shea, her sister Jessie Taylor, her nephews Richard and Jim Taylor and her niece Helen Kokoska.

She is survived by her loving nephew David Taylor (Lynne) and nephew-in-law George Kokoska, her great-nieces Wendy Louden, Karen Lowry, Kathryn Savoie, Georgina Holdt, and Faye Howell, great-nephews Rick, Rob, and Dennis Taylor, Kerry Kokoszka, and Brent Taylor, 16 great-great-nieces and nephews and one great-great-great-nephew Jadon.

Her beloved family knew her as their loving “Auntie Cuckoo”.

Helen and her family moved to Mission in 1912 where she completed her education, graduating from Mission High School. She was an accomplished pianist and taught piano to many students. She taught kindergarten where even more children felt her love and compassion. She traveled the world extensively. She was also a self-taught artist.

The family wishes to especially thank all the staff at Tabor Home. Your kindness was greatly appreciated.
