It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our 94 year old matriarch Helen. She was our beacon of strength and unconditional love. She was born in Glen Ewen, SK on Febraury 27, 1923 and passed away on February 23, 2018 in Abbotsford, BC.
Predeceased by her husbands George Thompson (16 years) and Robert Bennett (54 years), her sisters Jean, Barbara and Isobel, niece Betty Lou, great-nephew Kellen and precious great-granddaughter Jordyn Brooke.
Survived by daughter Barbara Nielsen (Peter), Broomfield CO, daughter Beverly Stevens (Jay), Burnaby BC, three grandchildren Jeffery Nielsen (Tami), Thornton CO, Dana Sailer (Dwight), Loveland CO, Kelly Teplitsky (Mark), Fort Collins CO, five great-grandchildren Morgan, Hayden, Andre, Avery and Benjamin, nephew Len McElwee (Paula), Fort Langley BC, nieces Wendy McElwee, Langley BC and Roberta Kepler, Gilroy CA.
A Service of Remembrance will be held Friday March 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 27555-31 Ave, Aldergrove, BC.
