(Helen) Louise Dueckman slipped away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the age of 89 years. She was born the only child to Katharina (Braun) and Henry Peters on November 18, 1930 in Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan.
When she was 15 years old, they moved to Sardis, BC where she met David Dueckman, the love of her life. They married on June 3, 1950 and purchased a small farm in Sardis. In 1957, David got a job with BC Electric Company which moved the family to Abbotsford, BC where she lived until her death.
She had a deep and abiding faith and was very involved in church activities-Ladies Aid, Sunday School Teacher, Pioneer Girls Leader, Womens Bible Study Leader, Bethel Bible Series Teacher, Deacon and Church Librarian to name a few.
She is predeased by her parents and her husband, David. She is survived by her children, Wayne, Kathie (Gordon) Lowrie, Eric (Cindy) and Barb (David) Bruce, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life will take place at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to MCC, the Food Bank, or a charity of your choice in her name.
