KLIPPENSTEIN; Heinrich (Harry)

September 30, 1920 - December 11, 2015

Harry is survived by his 4 children, Joyce (Len), Bonnie, Glen, and Daryl (June), 8 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Harry was born in a small farming village just outside of Altona, Manitoba. He was the youngest of 9 children born to Bernard and Marie Klippenstein. He spent his youth working long hours on the family farm - a job he took great pride in - before serving in the army from 1942 to 1945. Shortly after, he moved to BC, had 4 kids and became a doting father. He loved hard work, going to the gym (he kept dumbbells in his room right to the end), visiting with his grand-children and great-grandchildren, walking around Mill Lake, feeding the ducks and talking to dogs. He was a sincere man with a giant heart who kept his one-of-a-kind sense of humor through even the toughest times: he'd always greet you with the tightest hug and an "Oh but gracious," his way of telling you he loved you. In recent years, he accepted he was near the end of his life and often talked about "going home." You're home now Dad. We Love You. An intimate gathering was held with immediate family to remember and celebrate his life. Online condolences to the family may be made at:
