After a lengthy illness in his 77th year. Predeceased by wife Claire in 1996.


Survived by son George (Sandra), daughters Catherine Marshall & Eloise (Gerald) Fix, grandchildren Scott (Jen) & Andrew Marshall, Brent (Jamie) & Rebecca Shardlow, step-grandchildren Brad & Felicia Fix, three great-grandchildren, sisters Heather Watson & Fern Sutherland, sister-in-law Betty White, many nieces, nephews & cousins.


Born and raised in Vancouver,Harry retired as Captain from the Vancouver Fire Dept. in 1983 following a 31 year career. In 1985 they moved permanently to Hatzic Lake & became very active in community affairs, especially the McConnell Creek Farmers Institute where Harry will be fondly remembered for his famous lemon pies & St. Patrick's Day cakes.


Harry was active at All Saints Anglican Church, corner of Second & James, Mission, B.C. where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19 at 1:00 p.m., tea & refreshments following. Due to the fire that destroyed the community hall, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the McConnell Creek Building Fund, c/o R.G.
