1912 - 2007

Harold Alfred Luesley passed away peacefully with his family around him on December 12.

Harold was born in Victoria and grew up in Penticton. He joined in the RCAF in 1941 and stayed with aviation for his working life. He moved the family from Terrace, where he managed the airport for the Department of Transport, to Abbotsford in 1958, becoming the first civilian manager of Abbotsford Airport. He was involved with the Abbotsford Airshow from the beginning until he retired in 1976. As a member of the Abbotsford Rotary Club he dedicated time to the Abbotsford Band Festival for many years.

Harold had a great love and knowledge of BC history. After retirement he and his wife, Dreda, travelled to many different areas of the province. He enjoyed working in the yard, spending time curling and golfing, and going out for coffee with his friends.

Harold was predeceased by Dreda, after 65 years together. He is survived by his three children, Helen (John), Joan (Brent), and Bruce (Ruth), six grandchildren, Paul, Tracy, Karen, Christopher, Jeannine, and Andrew, and four great grandchildren, Ashton, Chanelle, Treyson, and Brayden.

Harold is missed and will always be remembered
