DODD, Hannah Marie

Hannah Marie Dodd, cherished daughter of Wendy Wilson and Greg Dodd and adored sister of Jane and Samuel, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family and accompanied by the singing of birds outside her window in the early hours of May 19, 2009. Just shy of her 24th birthday, she was full of grace until her last breath. Hannah was a very intelligent young woman who had a beautiful spirit, an incredible inner strength and wisdom beyond her years. She lived her life with integrity, kindness and respect for all. Most recently, Hannah's sense of humour, courage and determination were evident throughout her sixteen month journey with brain cancer. She came to a place of acceptance rarely seen, especially in one so young. We are devastated by the loss of such a beautiful young woman and find comfort in the fact that we were blessed to have her as our daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin and friend for as long as we did. We have been forever marked by her goodness. Hannah is predeceased by her grandpa Harry Dodd, and is survived by her loving grandparents, Jim and Marci Wilson, and Kay Dodd. She is also survived by her dear cousins, Peter, Bethany and Natalie Gill who were like siblings to her and many special aunts, uncles and cousins. Hannah is dearly loved and is missed by all.

If you knew, loved or were inspired by our wonderful Hannah, please join us at a service to celebrate and honour her life at St. Andrews United Church, Mission, B.C. on Wednesday, May 27th at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mission Community Foundation for the establishment of the Hannah Dodd Memorial Scholarship.
