December 20, 1931 - May 29, 2021
Gone from, our sight but never from our hearts. It is with wonderful memories of a life well lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Greta B. Lucas.
She was predeceased by her husband Joe, brother Seaforth, and son-in-law Bill.
She will be dearly missed by her children; Pat, Ken (Debbie), Wayne (Doreen), Wendy (John), Warren, Kim, grandchildren; Melissa, Courtney, Alyssa (Joel), Chelsea, Kayla (Dayne), Aaron (Patricia), Mike (Sarah), Amanda (Steve), Nicole, Kaitlin, Andrew, Meaghan, Kendra (Brad), Kelsey (Jon) and 15 great grandchildren.
Greta worked at the Woodward's store in Vancouver and Simpsons Sears in various locations in the lower mainland before retiring from the Kamloops store.
Once retired Greta returned to the lower mainland and eventually settled in Abbotsford, BC. She volunteered at the MSA and Abbotsford Regional Hospital with the auxiliary working in the gift shop. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Always up for a game of crib, I will always miss "15 - 2, 15 - 4 and the rest don't score".
A special thanks to Dr. W. Chan, Fraser Health Home Care team, BC Ambulance, Red Cross and the Palliative Complex Care Unit staff for taking care of Greta.
In lieu of flowers, support of any kind to the Canadian Cancer Society is appreciated.
