Gordon Douglas, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Born in Murrayville, BC on Dec. 13, 1955. He passed away in the presence of his family after a short but intense battle with cancer, on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004. Gord is predeceased by his father Robert and brother Bill. He is survived by his wife Debbie, sons Kyle and Kane, mother Mable, brothers Bob (Lori), Jim (Rose), Ron (Oonagh), Ken (Shari), sisters Carolynne Ross and Terri Martens (Byron), and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He worked for several years in the poultry industry before finding his niche at Abbotsford Chrysler. He was committed to our community through his volunteer work with the Abbotsford Fire Dept., Citizens Patrol and numerous other activities. Gord enjoyed fishing and camping at his lot at Camper’s Paradise.

The care and compassion that Gord and family received from Dr. Wallace, his staff and the nurses in 3 West, in particular Jamie and Angelina, will never be forgotten.

His family and friends will say goodbye on Friday, Oct. 29, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Gord’s name to the Abbotsford Palliative Care Unit or the BC Cancer Society.

You will be forever missed.
