June 10, 1952 - September 10, 2018
Our wonderful Glen, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on Sept. 10th 2018.

Born in Oldham, Lancashire England on June 10th 1952, he was predeceased by his parents George and Emily, and his cherished brother Tony.

Glen will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Patti Jean, and his adored children and grandchildren: Liam and wife Megan (Ailsa and Gwen), Kathleen Wiens (Joey and Piper) and Terry and wife Jen. He also leaves to mourn, his sisters, June (Keith), Valerie (Brian), and sister-in-law Margaret as well as nephews, Stuart, Ian and Michael and niece Alisa, in England, and niece Moriganagh in Edmonton.

Prior to immigrating to Canada in 1974, Glen served with British Army Intelligence, before training as a psychiatric nurse at St. Augustine's Hospital in Canterbury. Receiving his Canadian citizenship in 1978, Glen enlisted with the RCMP and served at both K Division and E Division before retiring in 2010.

Glen was soft spoken and kind, with a sharp wit and intellect. He was a keen collector of license plates as well as police and military insignia, and loved to walk many laps around Mill Lake each day. He loved all music from opera to rock and had a vast selection that gave him enormous pleasure, right to his last hours. He had a great ability to whistle any tune. Glen enjoyed making his own wine and loved to cook exotic dishes; with his signature tapenade as everyone's favourite. Glen touched so many lives and hearts and we will remember his beautiful eyes, his gentle kindness and wonderful humour forever.

Many thanks to the devoted staff at Trillium Bevan Village who cared for Glen so lovingly.
