Gladys E. HALE

Gladys E. passed away suddenly but peacefully on Saturday November 26, 2005 at age 85.  Gladys was born February 24, 1920 in Dauphin Manitoba. She sang in the theatre at age 16, also worked at TB Hospital in Kamloops and at the Armed Forces base in Sardis, BC as a dietician.  As well, she established a restaurant at the Chilliwack Airport.  Gladys and her family moved to Mission, BC in 1968.  There she was a member of the Elks and a Lifetime Member and President of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Royal Canadian Legion. 

Gladys was predeceased by her mother and father Merle and George McIntosh, husbands Kennie Lusk and Ted Hale, son-in-law Ron London, a great-grandson Sage, 2 sisters and 6 brothers.  She is survived by 1 sister Audrey (Phil), daughters Merle, Sharon (Tony), Mickey, son Pat (Jan), 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. 

A celebration of her life will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion at 32627 Logan Ave., Mission, BC on Thursday, December 8, 2005 from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.  In lieu of flowers, any donations would kindly be accepted by the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
