Gertrud Popiel, late of Abbotsford, formerly of Montreal, passed away on Monday April 18, 2005 at the age of 93 years. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her son John (Bette) of Scottsdale, AZ., grandchildren Kathleen, Glen, and Jodi, great-grandson Sebastian and great-granddaughter Jayleen of Calgary, as well as her nieces and nephew in Germany. She was predeceased by her husband Mikolaj Popiel, and her eldest son, Dieter.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday April 21st 2005 at 9:30 AM at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church 33333 Mayfair Ave. Abbotsford, BC with Father Robert Wong celebrant.
Burial was held at the Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery.
