Gerhard Buller, 72, died peacefully Wednesday, November 19th, 2014 in the Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre. He was born May 28th, 1942 in Neuhalbstadt, Russia to Gerhard Buller and Maria Janzen. In 1948 Gerhard and his mother immigrated to Canada settling in Yarrow, BC. In the mid 50's he moved to Abbotsford with his mother Maria, stepfather Joe Tessaro and brothers Wayne and Victor. Gerhard graduated from BCIT's mechanical technology program in 1966. He met Lynn at a BCIT/RCH Nurses dance in 1966. They married in 1968 and raised 2 daughters Janice and Heather. Although his work took him to many areas in BC they made their home in Mort Moody, BC. In his leisure Gerhard enjoyed browsing garage sales, fishing and watching the many fishing programs on TV. Frequently you would find him untangling his fishing line either in the boat (The Guppy) or at home. Although walking was difficult for him he did enjoy the cruises and tours taken after retirement. Gerhard is survived by his wife Lynn, daughter Heather and grandson Mason. He was predeceased by his daughter Janice in 2013. A celebration of his life will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, 2318 St. John's Street in Port Moody, BC on December 13th, 2014 at 1:00.
