It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerd, who was peacefully taken into the loving arms of Jesus.
Gerd was a loving husband, father, Opa and Great Opa and was a faithful believer in his savior Jesus Christ. He was a hard-working man and had a passion for gardening, hunting, fishing, playing pool and watching sports. Unfortunately, due to having cancer for the last six years, he has been set free from his never-ending pain.
He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Hans, Henry and Rudolf. He is mourned by his wife Almut of 55 years, his children; Leonard (Rose), grandchildren: Janelle (Dylan) Murrey and great grandchildren Logan and Eli, Harley (Kaitlyn), Gus (Allyson); Brigitte (Jeff) Friesen, grandchildren: Andry (Steven) Chaplin, Carissa (Sam) Scholes and Dawson; Sophie and grandson Lucas; Paul (Marilio) and grandchildren Evia and Dominic.
