July 8, 1938 – February 14, 2007
Gerri passed away peacefully after a brave fight with Cancer. She was predeceased by her parents Ray and Jean Johnson. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband John, daughter Leanne, granddaughter Caitlin, son-in-law Hobey Walker, sister Tonia Reimer and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Gerri was third generation born in Victoria; also raised, schooled, and had her daughter in Victoria. Later she moved with her family to Edmonton for a few years and finally to Abbotsford, BC, where she and her husband eventually retired. She was an animal lover, having many faithful pets over the years, and had a voracious appetite for books and reading. We will miss Gerri’s wonderful sense of humour and generous spirit.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, February 20th, 2007 at Royal Oak Burial Park’s First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC. Viewing from 9-10:00 am, Service at 10:00 am, with burial to follow.
