George Neuman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many, passed away Tuesday July 16, 2019, just 9 days before his 90th birthday. He is predeceased by his parents, 7 brothers and 2 sisters.
George is survived by his loving wife, of almost 70 years, Lillian, and by his children, Sharie (Elton), James, George Bruce (Doreen) and 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
George was born in Esterhazy Sask in 1929. In 1948, as a young man, he made his way to Vancouver B.C. with the love of his life, Lillian. He took his family from Vancouver, to Cloverdale, settling in Langley for many years, and then finally located to Abbotsford some 10 years ago.
He was the Employee Relations Manager for Empress Foods, Canada Safeway for many years and retired in 1984.
His brilliant mind led him to many accomplishments, not the least being the hands on construction of his Falco airplane. George could build houses, he could bake bread, he loved to sing. He seemed unstoppable.
He was a great mentor, a very caring man, he was a lovable rascal with a great sense of humor and he will be dearly missed.
No funeral service by his request.
