HANDY (George) Ted
Pastor Handy went peacefully home to Heaven August 20, 2009, one day short of his 93rd birthday. Born in Port Coquitlam August 21, 1916, Ted was raised in the Vancouver area and most recently lived in Abbotsford. He was predeceased by his first wife Hulda in 1984 and an infant son, Clifford Paul. Ted will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 22 years, Aime, and her daughters Heather and Carron (John); also by sons Dave (Ruth) and Don (Trudy), 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, other family and friends. Pastor Handy's life has been characterized by his love for his family and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom he served for 65 years.
A service in celebration of his life will be held in the Abbotsford Evangelical Free Church (Abby Free), 33218 Marshall Rd., on Wednesday, August 26 at 1:30 pm. A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25 at 7:00 pm, at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are encouraged to a missionary or missions organization of your choice.
