August 17, 1944 ~ March 1, 2005
Gary passed away quietly at home with loving wife Brenda at his side. He put up a courageous battle and was an inspiration to all those around him.
Gary has left behind his wife and caretaker Brenda. He will be missed terribly by his three children: Liane (Kevin), Lance (Michelle) and Adam (Amber); nine grandchildren: Karrie, Stephanie, Jordan, Danielle, Ty, Skie, Bobby, Riley and Devon. Brother Russ and sisters Shirley and Helen will think of him often.
Gary was predeceased by his wife of twenty-nine years, Carol and sister Barb.
He spent most of his years in the forest industry as a shingle sawyer. For the last eight years Gary drove bus for Laidlaw and Viking Tours traveling to Las Vegas, a job he truly loved. Gary loved traveling to Yuma in the winter months.
A celebration of Life will be held at Esquimalt United Church, March 10 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Red Cross.
The family would like to thank Rod Stevens for being there at such an important time.
