Friedrun DICKIE

February 16, 2006

It is with profound sadness and deep regret that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, daughter and friend Friedrun Cornelia (Reichert) Dick on February 16, 2006 at MSA Hospital in Abbotsford, B.C. Born on March 18, 1955 in Winnipeg, MB Freidrun left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Although she lost this battle she won the prize and is now basking in the glory of eternity. She leaves to mourn her passing, husband David, children Philipp, Christopher and Julia of Abbotsford, her mother Marta Reichert of Nagold, Germany, her brothers Dankmar, Rudolf (Sandra), Reinhardt (Ute) all of Germany as well as David’s mother Mary Dick of St. Catherine’s, ON and siblings Edward (Renata), Donald (Janet) of ON. Also mourning her untimely departure are many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and close friends who will all miss her dearly. Friedrun had a real impact on the lives of her husband and children and her legacy will live on in their hearts forever. She was an unwavering support to her husband during his years in the ministry and spent the last few years in the employ of the Abbotsford School District #34 as a Teacher’s Assistant. Freidrun will be remembered as one who saw humor in everything and despite difficult life experiences she always saw the bright side. Not only was she known for her great meals and fabulous baking, she was also very gifted in crafts such as knitting and willingly shared this gift with others. Her father Rudolf Reichert, an infant brother as well as David’s father Jacob Dick predeceased Freidrun. A Service of Celebration will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sat. Feb 18, 2006 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd. Interment will take place at Maclure Rd. Cemetery.
