FLEMING Frederick Albert. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved brother and uncle, Frederick Albert Fleming of Deroche, BC who passed away suddenly May 13, 2013. Fred was born April 24th, 1934 in Naicam, SK. He was pre-deceased by his father H.G. Fleming (a veteran of 2 World Wars), his mother Agnes E.F. (Coulter) Fleming, his brother John and sisters Phyllis and Dorothy. He is survived by his sisters, Marguerite (Ron) Stobbart, Thelma (Ralph) McDonald, Shirley Fleming & Doris Halverson. Fred moved to BC with his family in 1943 where they lived a few years in Surrey, and then moved to Deroche. Fred was a miner by trade, who loved hunting, fishing and camping. He once owned and operated a fish and tackle trailer shop, where many tall tales were shared and enjoyed by customers. And of course, if a “flea market” was within a hundred miles, Fred would be there. Although Fred was always up to a good argument, he was a very kind, loving man who would literally “Give you the shirt off his back”. He was also very religious and a statement that “God” might not like his actions, always had an effect. He will be sadly missed by his loving niece Diane Davies (Stobbart), his beloved cat Patches, and many family members and friends. A memorial will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, James & 2nd Ave., Mission, BC Tuesday, May 28th at 1 PM.
