Frederick A. (Gus) passed into the presence of the Lord on August 24, 2004 at age 89. Born in Sussex, England on June 10, 1915. Predeceased by his mother and father, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Sybil; son Anthony (Barbara); 2 grandsons Timothy (Mary) and Paul (Tawnya); 3 great-grandchildren Melissa, Ryan and Nickolas as well as nieces and nephews both in England and Canada. Gus served with the 8th army (Desert Rats) during World War II in Egypt, Italy and Austria til 1945. He emigrated to Canada in 1952 where he had a dairy farm at Mill Bay. He retired and came to Abbotsford in 1989, where he and his wife spent time visiting nursing homes and also served with the M2/W2. Graveside Service will be held on Sat. August 28, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. from Musselwhite Cemetery followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. from Woodlawn Funeral Home. Many thanks to the staff at East 4 and 5 at the Worthington Pavillion for their love and care during Gus’s stay there.
