Francis “Frank” Robinson, late of Abbotsford, peacefully passed away on November 29, 2004 at the age of 90 at Maplewood House, Abbotsford, BC

Predeceased on August 19, 2004 by Elizabeth “Bett”, his wife of 63 years.

He is survived by and lovingly remembered by 2 sons, Derek (Judy) Of Abbotsford and Kenneth (Peggy) of Oliver and 4 grandchildren, Adina, Greg, Trevor and Michelle. He will also be missed by his sister Mary Robinson of Liverpool, England and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also predeceased by his 5 brothers, James, John, Matthew, Robert and Joseph and his sister Sarah.

Frank was born on January 24, 1914 in Liverpool, England. Frank and Bett immigrated to Canada in 1954. They were a pioneer family in Kitimat, BC and lived there from 1954-1976 when Frank retired and they moved to Abbotsford. Frank was an active member of the Lions Club in Kitimat, member of OAP and Friendship House. He enjoyed curling and golfing “poorly” and was an avid blood donor throughout the years. Frank was a quiet and generous man who gave many gifts anonymously. Frank was a man of integrity, strong will and a gentle spirit and he believed in fighting for those less fortunate.

The family would like to thank the staff at Maplewood House for their compassion and care, and all of their other friends and family, especially the Bryce, Sinclair, and Anderson families for their ongoing support and concern.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 3, 2004 at 11:00 am at St. Ann’s Parish, 33333 Mayfair Ave., Abbotsford, BC with Father Robert Wong S.J. Celebrant.

In Frank’s memory, donations may be made to Maplewood House at 1919 Jackson St., Abbotsford, BC V2S 2Z6, the Alzheimer Society or a charity of choice.
