Frances was predeceased by her husband Herb (Sept/04), brothers Arthur and Eric Cousins, and sister Alice McLintock. She is survived by her sons Tony (Judy), Brett (Mary), daughter Shelley (Pat), sisters-in-law Lorraine Cousins and Frances Bayrack, six grandchildren and one great grandson.

Frances was born in Winnipeg and joined the Women’s Royal Navy in England in 1940. She served in Egypt for 3 years where she earned her commission as a Censor Officer and was promoted to 2nd Officer (Lieutenant). She went on to serve in Philadelphia, USA, with the Submarine branch until the end of the war, before returning to England and then to Canada in 1947 when she was honourably discharged.

Frances held many secretarial positions between the war and 1985, among them medical office assistant at Mission Medical Consultants. She and her husband Herb were owner/operators of Mission Taxi and AAA Charter Bus Services in Mission.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life at the Royal Canadian Legion, 32627 Logan Street, Mission, BC from 11:00 am-2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 25, 2005. Donations in Frances’ memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
