Martens, Frances Luella Jane was born in Stouffle, Ontario to Arthur Morris Clarkson and Eliza Jane Clarkson. She passed away peacefully into the presence of Her Lord and Savior with her husband at her side on Monday April 28th, 2008. Frances was predeceased by both her parents, brother Stanley and his wife Vera, brother Bert and brother-in-law Reverend George E. Taylor. Frances is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Erwin T. Martens; son Richard Erwin Martens and wife Tammy and their children Gilles and Joel; daughter Debbie (Frances Debra Lynn) and husband David Jacob Martens and their children Christy Jane (fiancé Joel Hiebert) and Timothy David (fiancée Heather Wiebe); son David Henry Martens and wife Sheryl and their children Lora Marie, Kenneth David, Julia Frances and Sarah Lynn; and son Paul Robert Martens and wife Kim and their children Kyla and Mya. Frances is also survived by her sisters Ruth Fligg, Rose Taylor and Phyllis and her husband William Juniper and sister-in-law Gladys Clarkson along with numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service for all of her family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 6th, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the MacLure Mennonite Cemetery in Abbotsford, British Columbia, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at the Clearbrook MB Church in Abbotsford, 2719 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford B.C. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Frances honour may be made to the Canadian Bible Society or Gideon’s.
