KROEKER, Florence Catherine
Florence Catherine Kroeker (nee Fraser) of Abbotsford, BC died peacefully in Jesus' arms at the Abbotsford Hospital in the Tertiary Hospice Palliative Care Unit on Friday, October 16, 2009. Catherine is survived by husband Ray, mother Christine Shaw, her brother John (Laurel) Fraser and family, daughter Amanda (Kim) Friesen and family, step-daughter Terri (Dave) Hiebert and family, step-son Peter Kroeker and son, step-son Cory Kroeker and step-son Tyler Kroeker, brothers-in-law; Ken (Dorothy) Krocker and family, Gerry (Anne) MacLean and family, sister-in-law Caroline Holt and family and other extended family members. Catherine was predeceased by her father Jack Fraser, parents-in-law Abraham and Catherine Maclean and maternal Grandparents Foster and Catherine Smith. Catherine was born February 13, 1958 and raised in Brandon, MB. It was while she was working at a truck stop she met her future husband Ray and spent over thirty years together. They lived in Whitehorse, Calgary, and finally settled in Abbotsford. Catherine spent her time supporting her husband, while he was on the road, by running their trucking business (Voth Trucking) and raising their family. When Amanda was old enough they would join Ray on the road. She was very organized and kept everyone on track. She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint and when time permitted traveling in the motor home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Cascade Community Church, 35190 Delair Road, Abbotsford. Catherine was a very special lady, well loved and respected. We will miss her but we know we will see her again in Heaven. Thank you to all who looked after Catherine so lovingly. You are a special and caring group. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
