We announce with great sadness that Evelyn McFaul late of Abbotsford passed away suddenly on May 4, 2013. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 52 years, John, daughter Patti (Rob), son Doug (Diane) and brother-in-law, David (Joanne). Her grandchildren Sydney, Tori, Sean and Ryan were her pride and joy. She bravely battled cancer over the past two years with a positive attitude that was an inspiration to all who knew her. She continued to participate in activities that brought her great happiness. Evelyn was very involved with her grandchildren's extracurricular activities. She sewed for them and helped with projects. She was their number one fan at all sporting activities, earning her the title "Super Grandma". By profession, Evelyn was a nurse and supervisor for 30 years at various hospitals throughout B.C. Since retirement in 1999, she was a strong supporter of the new Abbotsford Regional Hospital, participating weekly as a volunteer, greeting and helping all who entered. She cared for her family and friends with passion, humour and straightforward feedback. Her energy and love will be sorely missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Henderson's Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Rd., Abbotsford, BC, with a reception to follow in Henderson's Tea Room.
