LIND - Evelyn E. Jan. 23, 1911 ~ April 23, 2011. Evelyn Lind of Abbotsford passed peacefully at Tabor Home.
Her husband Dave Lind predeceased her in 1977. She is predeceased by her daughter Lois Montgomery, son-in-law Arnold Montgomery, of Parksville and grandson Allan Perritt (Darlene) of Pt. Roberts. She is survived by daughter Joyce Fraser (Bob) of Abbotsford and son Roy Lind (Diane) of Abbotsford. Also by five grand- sons, Craig Montgomery, Cleve Montgomery, Daryl Parritt, David Parritt, Sean Lind and seven great grand children. Evelyn was born in Victoria. She also lived in Edmonton, Vancouver, Big Lake and Chilliwack before moving to Abbotsford in 1941. Evelyn taught grades one to eight in the Big Lake School in the Caribou for two years prior to marrying Dave Lind in 1931. At that time females were required to stop teaching upon becoming married. Evelyn taught elementary school in Abbotsford from 1956 until retirement in 1976.
The family would like to thank the staff of Tabor Home for the loving care given to their mother with a special thanks to Nelly Schroevers and Ruth Terpstra. There will be no service by request.
