It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mother, Eva Esau. Mom passed into the presence of her Lord on September 23, 2016, at the age of 89. Eva will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her four children, Lorraine (Randy) Wyant, Grace (Ken) Stickland, Ellie Pelletier and Len (Heather) Esau, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Eva was one of 9 siblings and is survived by her brother Vic (Marg) Retzlaff and her sister Kay Retzlaff. Eva was predeceased by her husband, John Esau, in July 2009. She was a supportive pastor’s wife and loved God’s word and being a part of the church family. Eva and John were active members of Clearbrook MB Church for many years. In her later years, Eva showed great strength in coping with arthritis and then dementia. In spite of these challenges, she was a beautiful woman with a heart filled with gratitude and was a prayer warrior to the very end. A special thanks to the staff at Menno Hospital who took such good care of our Mother. A celebration of Eva’s life will be held on Friday, September 30th at 1:30 p.m. in the Reception Room at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road Abbotsford, BC.
