Eva Croswell passed away peacefully at the age of 98 at the Menno Hospital, Abbotsford, B.C. on Dec. 11, 2007 with her daughter and grandchildren by her side.

Eva's parents were Robert Thompson Kipling and Rosa May Kipling. She was predeceased by her brothers Art, Albert, Fred and Jim and her husband William Croswell. She is survived by her daughter, Doris Cochrane, 4 grandchildren Mark Andrie, Doug Andrie, Dawna Biorn and Michelle Laxton, 6 great grandchildren Kristopher Andrie, Cody Biorn, Jaimee Laxton, Patty Andrie, Jenny-Lyne Andrie, Florin Andrie, 2 great great grandchildren Elissa Andrie and Ava Andrie, 2 sisters Mildred Tyndall and Lucille Macdonald and many nieces and nephews.

Eva was born in Nebraska, as well as her brother Art. They moved to the Melfort, Saskatchewan area when she was 4 years old. Never knew anyone more generous, caring, wonderful personality and a great sense of humor. She had her own cafe in Weekes, Saskatchewan for 4 years, chef at Nipawin Hospital for 7 years and chef at the Moose Jaw Air Base for 18 years as well as many other cooking establishments. A few years after retiring she moved to Abbotsford to be with her daughter. One of her greatest enjoyments in her life was fishing, especially for salmon in the ocean and Fraser River and many lakes in Saskatchewan. She also loved to knit, crochet, read, garden and travel.

Eva also will be greatly missed by her family and friends but left us with wonderful memories. Her kindness was felt by everyone who knew her. Thanks for the kindness and care the Menno Hospital East 2 gave her.

A celebration of Eva's life will be at a later date.
