Ethel (nee Ordog) Toth
February 24, 1929 – January 7, 2017
Our mother, Ethel Toth, was born on February 24, 1929 and passed away peacefully on January 7th, 2017. Ethel is being missed by her sons, Jim (Maureen) and Ron (Wendy) and her daughter, Cheryl Pearce (Jim), along with her 6 grandchildren, Matthew, Hayley, Spencer, Derek, Brodie and Tanner and 3 great grandchildren, Kael, Charlie and Milo. She is predeceased by Joe Toth, our dad, her brothers Joe and Jim Ordog and sisters, Margaret Sebel and Rhoda Mesaros and is survived by her brother Bill Ordog, sisters, Anne Glaister and Sue Robson. Ethel is lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Ethel grew up in Mission on her parents berry farm on the corner of Cedar and Cherry Street. Our parents, Ethel and Joe built and named the existing Cherry Hill Grocery Store (Cedar/Cherry St.) and later purchased our grandparents farmland. Over the years, Ethel worked at ACME Machine Shop, at the Bank of Commerce (CIBC) in Mission (1947 – 1950) and later at the Abbotsford Branch (1979 – 1994) where she retired. Ethel enjoyed watching her grandkids as much as she could, as well as gardening, Bingo and trips to the Casino. ET go home.
