GOSLING, ETHEL LEONA

(COMBS)

Born in Abbotsford on August 17, 1915 and passed away peacefully on May 8, 2010 while residing in Cottage Pavilion in Abbotsford. She was predeceased by her husband David, grandson David Ray Gosling, daughter-in-law Jean Gosling and son-in-law Donald MacNeill. She is survived by her five children and their families, daughter Elsie MacNeill of Kamloops BC, son Gordon (Edna) of Vernon BC, son Jerry (Norma) of Abbotsford BC, son Douglas (Juanita) of Abbotsford BC and son Chuck (Echo) of Maple Ridge, BC as well her extended family including 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She lived all her life in Abbotsford and will be missed by all her family and the many friends she made. She belonged to the Poplar Manor Womens Institute for several years and was a charter member of Gladwin Heights UCW formed in 1982. She was always willing to teach anyone how to play crib or 31 and loved tile rummy in her later years. She taught many how to knit or crochet and was still knitting up to her last few weeks. Now there is one more star in the heavens, she will live in our hearts forever and never be forgotten. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Cottage Pavilion for the loving care and dedication during the time Mom called it home.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to your local hospital would be appreciated. Service will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC at 2 pm on Saturday May 15, 2010.
