Ethel Diewert passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2005 at the Extended Care Unit of Mission Memorial Hospital.
Ethel was born in Nanaimo BC on Sept. 17, 1921. She married her husband Alvin in 1944, moved to Haney in 1946, and then to Mission in 1962. She is predeceased by her husband Alvin. She will be missed by her daughters Lynne of Mission and Kathy of Princeton; sons Ralph of Mission, Roger of Langley, and Philip (Shawn) of Grand Forks; and sister Olive Hamilton of Prince George.
Special thanks to Valley Home Support for their care when Mom was at home; all the staff at ECU, especially the nurses, and all of the families who have loved ones at ECU, for their support. We also want to thank the churches of Mission that brought chapel services to ECU every Sunday.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2005, at 1:00 pm at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 8469 Cedar St. (at Cherry), Mission BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ethel’s memory may be made to Gideons International.
