It is with fond memories of a life well lived, that we announce the peaceful passing of Ross into the presence of his Lord, after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 60 years, Barb; children: Dale (Andrea), Lorne (Judy), Keith (Diana), Bonnie (Gerard); 13 wonderful grandchildren; one great-grandson, a great-granddaughter on the way; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law (one predeceased); two nephews, and one niece.
Ross was born in Woodlands, MB, and moved with his parents to the Canadian Forces base in Pat Bay, BC in 1940, and then to Vancouver in 1945. After graduating from Gladstone High School, he became active in Youth for Christ, which was where he eventually met Barb, the love of his life.
Ross worked as a supervisor for Woodwards in Vancouver for 25 years and then worked for 13 years at KMS Tools before his retirement at 70.
Ross and Barb celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in Kenya, Africa. They also went on four mission trips together: three to Ukraine and one to Mexico. He faithfully served his church in many ways, and together created a puppet ministry that spanned 23 years.
He enjoyed RV camping and supporting his grandchildren by attending their activities.
We are grateful to the Abbotsford Regional Hospital staff for their exceptional care and compassion.
