Ernest Edward Renouf
July 10, 1925 - September 7, 2008
Ernie passed away at Abbotsford Regional Hospital at the age of 83. He was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Edith, two brothers and one sister. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 59 years, Edie, their two daughters Sheryl (Garry) Rothert and Lori (David) Dowhaniuk, grandchildren Jillian and Kiara Rothert, Karlene and Michael Dowhaniuk, and sister Vi (John) Moynan, plus extended family and many good friends.
Ernie was born in Fort George, Quebec and grew up in Mission. He worked for Lockerbie and Hole for 41 years in Vancouver, Saskatoon and Edmonton until his retirement 20 years ago. He and Edie moved to Parker Cove in the Okanagan shortly after, where he enjoyed curling and golf, working in his garden, and many happy times in the summer with his family. Ernie and Edie relocated to Abbotsford last year.
A Celebration of Ernie's life will be held at Trinity Memorial United Church, 33737 George Ferguson Way, Abbotsford on Friday, September 12th at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity Memorial United Church Roof Fund or to the charity of one's choice.
