Erika passed away into the presence of the Lord on October 30, 2007. Left to mourn is her mother, Margaret Kosack (Thiessen) and cousins, Marg (Mike) Frantz of Oklahoma and Helmut Klassen of Alberta. Predeceased by her father John Kosack on March 15, 1994.
Erika was born in Neurnbergr, Germany to her loving parents Margaret and John Kosack. With them, she immigrated to Canada, first to Yarrow, then Matsqui, and finally to Clearbrook where she resided for the past 50 years. Erika was a participant of the MSA Society for Community Living day Program for 52 years and was a member of the Clearbrook MB Church. Erika worked at Wildwood and made wedding flowers. She bowled for 24 years at Dogwood Lanes and loved to ride on the Handidart. She was always happy, well behaved, and touched many with her love for life and people. She will be missed by family, friends, caregivers, and Handidart drivers.
Graveside service was Monday, November 5, 2007 at 9:30 am at the Maclure Rd. Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at Clearbrook MB Church. Donations in memory of Erika may be given to the MSA Society for Community Living.
