Eric Peter Klippenstein

Eric Peter Klippenstein was born on March 23, 1940 in Friesland, Paraguay and passed away into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on March 24, 2017 after a long struggle with Alzheimers. Eric was a gifted educator, teaching both Math and Chemistry in Prince George and Kelowna. He was also seconded by the Ministry of Education for two years. After his retirement from teaching in 1996 he and his wife, Edith, owned and operated a bed and breakfast inn in Victoria where he enjoyed his daily walks along Dallas Rd. and through Beacon Hill Park. He enjoyed meeting many new people. Eric and Edith moved to Abbotsford in 2002 where he continued to be active in Church Partnership Evangelism going on many overseas Mission trips. He loved sharing his testimony with others. He loved walking through Fishtrap Creek Park and around Mill Lake. We are forever thankful to Maplewood House staff for the care they gave Eric during the last 7 years of his life. Their gentle and loving care meant the world to us as family. He leaves to mourn his wife of 53 years, Edith, children, Lynda (Kevan) Reeve, Janine (Hugh) Mitenko, Douglas (Stephanie) Klippenstein, Jodine (Kelly) Kim, 5 grandsons; Max, Ben, Sam, Tristan and Aric; as well as one sister, two brothers and many nieces and nephews as well as in-law relatives. Celebration of Life to be held at King Road MB Church, 32068 King Road, Abbotsford, BC on April 4th, 2017 at 11:00 am.
